Round time: 2 1/2 hours
Points: 1000 points per person
Event Description:
This is going to be a doubles tournament using 6th ed. rules. Individual players must field a non-allied army. However, your partner is your ally and the extent to which you cooperate is determined by the Allies table in the rulebook. Grey Knights partnered with Grey Knights will be treated as Battle Brothers. The same is true for a Tyranid/Tyranid combination. Players are responsible for finding their own partner.
Prize support will be gift certificates, with the number and values based on attendance. Each participant will receive 1 token at the start of the event. If a participant wins a game he receives an additional 2 tokens, a tie means the person and his opponent each receive 1 extra token. The missions use the battlepoints system, which means that the two participants with the most battlepoints at the end of the tournament will each receive a gift card. Then I will collect tokens from the remaining players and place them in my dice bag. A token will be drawn and another gift card awarded to the lucky winner of the “raffle”.
Lists are required to be submitted ahead of time. You must send your army list to me by 9:00 AM on Thursday, August 16, 2012. Please either private message your list to me (Dr_Pain) on the forums or email it to triangledale@yahoo.com. Acceptable formats are plain text (copied into the PM/email or as a .txt file) or a .doc, .xls, or .pdf file. List submission is required so that I may review everyone's list and make sure they're legal. This is your pre-registration, though the entry fee will not be due until the day of the tournament. It is acceptable to submit a list then not show up, but it is not acceptable to show up without having submitted a list by the deadline. Therefore, if you're not sure whether you'll attend, submit your list just in case.
Additionally, don't forget the painting prize is for the best painted elite unit. The unit must be from the codex you are using, but does not have to be the army you are fielding.
