 Cover Selection
< Back to Intro

It is common for some publishers to release multiple versions of an issue with different covers. On our site, you can specify what we should do if any of your issues have multiple covers. You may choose to get one of the standard covers of the issue, or all of them. In addition, you can specify whether or not you would like to place an automatic minimum bid for any incentive covers that are available on your issues. If you would like more fine-grained control, you can look ahead and choose specific cover selections for each upcoming issue!

Click on the Cover Selection link in the left-hand navigation to change your cover preferences. At the top, you can change the default behavior for your entire subscription. If you select a title from the drop-down box, you can also set a different behavior for that title. For example, if you generally only want one cover for each issue, but you want to get all the covers of Justice Society, you would select "One Cover" at the top of the screen, then select Justice Society of America from the drop-down box, and select "All Covers" for Justice Society.

Once you click on a title from the list, you will also see a list of all the upcoming issues of that title that have multiple covers. Here, you can specify exactly which covers you get, and how many of each. If you are subscribed to multiple copies of the book (you put in more than one on the Edit Quantities page), your custom cover selection must account for all those copies. For instance, if you're signed up for two copies of Green Lantern, you can't sign up for just one copy of a single cover, because then you're only getting one copy of the issue, rather than two. We recommend making custom cover selections at least two weeks before the issue is released, so that we can adjust our orders to fill your requests. If the title has incentive covers, there will be an "Incentive" link instead of a quantity box. Follow the link to enter a bid on any incentive covers (for more information on incentives, see the Incentive Covers section).
